About Harrington's

Ian Harrington has been working for private practice architects since
1973; and
most recently as design director for Westbury Garden Rooms
Ltd. He has
been a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural
Technologists (CIAT) since 1978, and is a contributor to Conservation
in Essex guide to
extension of historic buildings. The

Based in the village
of Earls Colne
near Colchester,
Ian has built up a sound relationship
with Planning Officers and Building Conservation Officers particularly
in Kent,
Essex, Suffolk
and East Herts
areas.
He has a proven reputation for
producing successful
concept designs, illustrated by hand drawings, and has a consultative
approach to the design process. The only
way to guarantee designing a scheme
that the client is going to really love, is to fully understand their
needs and
those of the property.
Ian's services also
include: measured site/building surveys,
feasibility studies, planning research and advice, concept and detailed
designs, planning applications and appeals, listed building
